El Ombu de Areco

Description

Magnificent house built in 1890 by General Pablo Ricchieri, who, from what tradition tells, had his saddle buried there. The estancia´s name comes from the most typical tree of our land: the ombú, with its huge crown and ancient roots.

The house has an ample collection of arms and large galleries with lamplights. Production Activity: agriculture and horse breeding. Sites of interest in the area: Museum Ricardo Guiraldes, Pueblo de San Antonio de Areco.
